Step 1Download the DesignWall Satin nightie free pattern. Print out the pdf and cut all the shapes out along the solid lines. The dotted lines indicate your sewing line. Match the numbered flowers and sticky tape the edges to form one large pattern piece.
Step 2Fold your material corner to corner, so the stretches part is diagonal. This ensures extra stretch and movement of the satin sleepwear, but it requires more fabric. If you only have a meter of fabric, you can fold the fabric as normal but it will give the satin nightie slightly less stretch.
Step 3Pin the sides together and sew using the same colour thread. Leave approximately 2cm of seam unsown under the arm. You will complete this later once you have sew the binding around and finish off neatly under the armhole.
Step 4To avoid the should strap and neckline stretching while sewing a satin nightie, change the stitch length on your sewing machine to the largest length and sew around the board of the shoulder strap and neckline.
Step 5Using your 20mm bias tape, sew the binding into place. How to Sew a Bias Tape If you want your bias tape to match your fabric, learn how to make your own bias tape
Step 6Using your 10mm bias tape, again sew the bias tape to the neckline and shoulder.
Finished!Stitch a little bow and charm to the center of the neckline and you are done! Enjoy wearing your nightie. If you have any comments or would like to share an image of your nigtie once made, please email: info@designwall.info

Satin Bag & Sleep MaskYou may have loads of off cuts over, so Ive made a sleep mask and a matching draw string bag to store it all in. The pattern for the sleep mask is included in the free sating nightie pattern. For the draw string bag, just cut a large rectange piece of fabric, sew down the side and turn the top over for the ribbon as a draw string. Tip: To thread the satin ribbon through the top edges of your bag, secure a safty pin to the ribbon and simple push it through.
AccessoriesOn the left you will see the diamante buttons I've choosen for a centre neckline charm and the large plastic diamonds I've selected for the draw string bag.
